Wednesday
Arrival at Bari airport and private transfer in the South of Apulia. Travelling along the Adriatic Coast, arrival at Lecce, an aristocratic and baroque city. Arrival at the hotel, accommodation, dinner and overnight stay. .
Before or after dinner (depending on the arrival time), meeting with the assistant and welcome cocktail.
Thursday
Breakfast. In the morning guided tour of the city of Lecce: the Cathedral Square, Santa Croce Basil, the most important example of Baroque in Apulia, the Roman Amphitheatre, St. Oronzo Square, in which there is one of the columns that indicated the end of the Appia Street. Lunch at leisure.
In the afternoon transfer to Grecìa Salentina, an area, inhabited by Greek populations, from which comes the culture and the dialect spoken today: griko. Knowledge of tangible and intangible property of the territory: frescoed church of San Giovanni, palace Palmieri, semi-hypogean crusher etc. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight.
Friday
Breakfast and departure to Otranto: guided tour of the historical centre and the Cathedral of Santa Maria Annunziata, with its mosaic floor of 1163, representing the Tree of Life. Free lunch. Transfer to Gallipoli: guided tour of the ancient city, once an island, today connected to the mainland by a sixteenth-century bridge. Stop in a wine cellar and wine tasting. Return to the hotel. Free dinner in one of the restaurant in the Old Town. Overnight stay.
Saturday
Breakfast and departure to Ostuni; meeting with the guide and visit of a masseria built in eighteenth-century surrounded by centenary olive groves. Oil tasting. Visit of the historical city centre. Free lunch. In the afternoon, transfer to Alberobello, UNESCO site, famous for its circular houses built with dry stones and roofs in the shape of an overturned funnel, known as Trulli. Walk in the historic districts, among ancient peasant buildings and patios once used as courtyards. Free dinner. Overnight stay.
Sunday
Breakfast and departure to Matera. Guided tour of the city of Stones, UNESCO heritage, walk in the old town and its narrow streets, to admire the ancient churches and the rocky landscape. Matera bread tasting, Continue to Altamura, accommodation, dinner and overnight stay.
Monday
Breakfast and departure to Bari. (For those departing, transfer to the airport).
Guided tour of the city of Bari: the Basilica of St. Nicholas and its monumental crypt where the relics of the saint are preserved, the Romanesque Cathedral of St. Sabin and the twentieth-century hamlet murattiano. Free lunch. In the afternoon departure to Bisceglie: visit to an ancient oil mill for a sensory experience among the scents of flavoured oils to be tasted together with the olive grower. Accommodation in hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Tuesday
Breakfast and departure for Castel del Monte, visit of the old manor wanted by Frederick II, from the enigmatic octagonal shape. Free lunch. In the afternoon, visit to Andria for a stop at the Museum of Confetti, active since 1894. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Wednesday
Breakfast and transfer to Bari airport.
